The event is hosted by Young Americans Overseas, a nonprofit that assists Post-9/11 veterans with housing and is building Texas’s first Women Veterans and Women First Responder Park. The Beaumont Police Department Cops & Kids Halloween Carnival is a city-wide personal safety and crime prevention festival for school aged children and their parents. Free food, amusements, games and entertainment provide a carnival atmosphere for this important educational safety event. The BMT Film Fest will screen several feature films and documentaries, short films, animated features and student films. Film contest coordinated by Boomtown, a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating Southeast Texas about and increasing their appreciation for film and cinema related arts. The evening will conclude with a screening of “Not Me,” the latest from Lamar University film professor Mahmoud Salimi. The film is Salimi’s eleventh film as a director and has received global accolades since its release.

Beaumont Children's Museum 5th Annual Día de Los Muertos is an exciting opportunity for children and families to learn and participate in this vibrant Mexican holiday. Several community partners have joined this event to help by setting up many hands-on crafts, art, cookie decorating, face painting, festive food, yummy sweets and more traditional activities.
This free holiday event offers entertainment and fun for the entire family, including fireworks, music, food trucks, outdoor movies, and other surprise attractions! The evening will conclude with an outdoor showing of holiday films, Olaf’s Frozen Adventure and Shrek the Halls. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to picnic during the movies.
