City of Beaumont Hanukkah Lighting

The City of Beaumont is delighted to announce its annual Hanukkah menorah lighting ceremony, marking the commencement of the Festival of Lights on December 7, 2023 at 5:00pm. The ceremony will take place in front of City Hall in downtown Beaumont, and the community is invited to join in the celebration of this joyous occasion.

In collaboration with Temple Emanuel, the City of Beaumont is proud to host this special event, fostering unity and embracing the rich diversity that defines our community. The Menorah Lighting ceremony symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness, a message that resonates universally and embodies the essence of the Hanukkah festival.

The Menorah Lighting ceremony will feature traditional Hanukkah blessings and a festive atmosphere for attendees of all ages along with family friendly Hanukkah inspired activities from the Beaumont Children’s Museum and Beaumont Public Library. The community is encouraged to come together to share in the warmth of the holiday season and celebrate the first night of the 8 nights of Hanukkah.

Mayor Roy West expressed the city’s enthusiasm for the upcoming event, stating, “Hanukkah is a time of reflection and joy, and we are grateful for the opportunity to come together with the wider community to share in the light of this festival.
