DESCRIPTION:The Neches River Festival Presents “Capes & Crowns” 5K Run\nFebruary 26\, 2022\nDowntown Event Centre \nThe race will be chip timed by Cajun Timing. \nThis year’s NRF Capes and Crowns 5K promise to be the most exciting yet as Neches River Festival has partnered with Mardi Gras of SETX. Each race participant will receive a ticket to Mardi Gras valid the day of the race. So\, after enjoying a 3.1 mile run or walk through beautiful downtown Beaumont\, you can choose to stay (or come back) and enjoy all the activities\, shopping\, and live music Mardi Gras of SETX has to offer. \nEvent Details:\nThere will be a kids 1 mile Fun Run starting at 8:30 am with the 5K race beginning at 9:00 am. All registration for the Fun Run will be on site the day of the race. This is a flat course through downtown Beaumont and is suitable for experienced runners and kids alike. There will be light refreshments before and after the race and water stations along the race route. All participants will receive custom race medals. The overall male and female winners will receive an additional prize and the top three males and females in each age group will receive an additional winner’s medal. \nRegistration Fees (Early & Late Fees & dates): \nEarly Online Registration (until January 26\, 2022)\n18 and under $25.00\n19 and over $35.00\nLate Online Registration (January 27th – February 22nd)\n18 and under $30.00\n19 and over $40.00 \nPacket Pickup (Location\, Date & Time): \nPre-Registered Participants \nExygon Health and Fitness Club located at 6450 Phelan Blvd.\, Beaumont\, TX 77706\nThursday\, February 24th from 10am – 1pm and from 4pm – 7pm\nFriday\, February 25th from 10am – 1pm and 4pm – 7pm \nAll registrations include: \n• FREE gift bag\n• Custom race shirt (youth & adult sizing available – no shirt guarantee after February 9th)\n• Custom finisher’s medal\n• Post race celebration with food\, drink\, & awards \nThe Neches River Festival\, Inc.\, is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation\, organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes\, to promote a sense of community identity and heritage as well as the education of local students through community events\, and through regular contributions to the Otho-Plummer/Neches River Festival Scholarship at Lamar University.
