DESCRIPTION:The City of Beaumont presents the 35th Annual Fourth of July Celebration\nSunday\, July 4\nDowntown Event Centre and Lake\n700 Crockett Street \n5:00 p.m. Entertainment\n6:00 p.m. DJ Upgraye’DD\n8:00 p.m. Symphony of Southeast Texas at the Julie Rogers Theatre\n9:00 p.m. Fireworks \nThis annual activity offers a sensational salute to our nation’s past and will take place at the Downtown Event Centre Lake. Fourth of July festivities include live entertainment\, food trucks\, and an unforgettable fireworks display. \nGates open at 5:00 p.m. for food\, live music\, and fun! Live entertainment includes Luke Whitney\, The Big Show\, and Flava Band. Fireworks begin at 9:00 p.m. Admission to all events and performances is free\, and local food trucks will offer a selection of food and beverages. Lawn chairs\, blankets\, and coolers are permitted but are subject to search. No outside alcohol may be brought into the event. \nA special patriotic performance by the Symphony of Southeast Texas will begin at 8:00pm at the Julie Rogers Theatre. This free concert will be general admission with the doors opening at 7:00pm. Families are encouraged to picnic around the lake\, enjoy the playground\, visit the resident ducks and enjoy live music as the sun sets on our great city. Locally owned food trucks will be on-site and concert-goers can bring coolers\, but no outside alcohol is allowed. \nWherever the Folk Family Revival plays\, the ground underneath seems more a sanctuary than a stage. Sure enough\, Lankford brothers\, Mason and Barrett once filled a pew at a Magnolia\, Texas church where the brothers became fast friends with their soon to be brother and lead guitarist Caleb Pace. The brothers added close friend Nick Odom a while later and continued onward to become the Houston family jam band with a unique sound; clear and righteous\, bold and forceful\, complex and simple at the same time. \nOver the years\, Folk Family Revival has opened for legends such as Willie Nelson\, Lucas Nelson\, Ray Wylie Hubbard\, Hayes Carll\, Lynyrd Skynyrd\, Eddie Money\, Atlanta Rhythm Section\, Merle Haggard\, George Jones\, The Marshall Tucker Band\, The Suffers and Jon Foreman.
