Prior to 2005\, Mr. Ceron was involved with Boston Flamenco Ballet\, a renowned cultural arts group\, where over the course of 16 years he acquired vast experience in the cultural arts field. After closing their doors in 2004\, Mr. Ceron endeavored to develop a similar program\, and accompanied by Eligio Moya\, V.P\, and Ivan del Rio\, Treasurer\, launched Hispanic Flamenco Ballet. With the success of HFB\, Mr. Ceron has now developed an exciting new theatrical program\, and as of January 1\, 2012 now operate as part of the Arts & Dance Company family. \nHispanic Flamenco Ballet and Arts & Dance Company are honored to present you with a variety of shows that deliver enjoyment and knowledge to young audiences. DESCRIPTION:Wednesday March 13 at the Julie Rogers Theatre. \nShow starts at 7:30p \nPick up free tickets at the Beaumont Civic Center box office (open M-F\, 9a-1p). \nThe Navy Band Sea Chanters is the United States Navy’s official chorus. The ensemble performs a variety of music ranging from traditional choral music\, including sea chanteys and patriotic fare\, to opera\, Broadway\, and contemporary music. Under the leadership of Senior Chief Musician Adam Tyler\, the Sea Chanters perform for the public throughout the United States. At home in Washington\, they perform for the president\, vice president and numerous congressional\, military and foreign dignitaries. In 1956\, Lt. Harold Fultz\, then the band’s assistant leader\, organized a group from the Navy School of Music to sing chanteys and patriotic songs for the State of the Nation dinner. An immediate success\, Adm. Arleigh Burke\, then chief of naval operations\, transferred them to the Navy Band\, named them the Sea Chanters and tasked this all-male chorus with perpetuating the songs of the sea. In 1980\, the group added women to their ranks and expanded their repertoire to include everything from Brahms to Broadway.
