DESCRIPTION:The City of Beaumont presents a screening of the 1925 horror classic silent film\, The Phantom of the Opera\, featuring live score by organist Tom Helms and the Robert Morton Organ at the Jefferson Theatre\, Saturday\, October 14\, 2023 at 7pm. \nDoors 6pm\nShow 7pm \nTickets are $10 and are on sale now at Ticketmaster.com or can be purchased at the Beaumont Civic Center box office.  \nAbout the organ: The Robert Morton Wonder Organ\, voiced particularly for the acoustics of the Jefferson Theatre\, was installed on a platform that allows the organ to rise majestically from the orchestra pit to the stage level. The organ’s 778 pipes and many percussive effects produces a variety of sounds rivaling those of an actual orchestra. Hearing the organ in the theatre is a magical and unique opportunity.
