DESCRIPTION:The City of Beaumont will host its 8th Annual Oktoberfest\, Saturday\, October 7\, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Rogers Park. Admission is free and open to the public. \nOktoberfest is a family event that residents look forward to each year. Attendees can expect an impressive musical lineup featuring the Nashville-based talent of Paul Childers\, The Golden Triangle Brass Quintet\, local favorites Curse and the Cure\, and Running on Credit. JAM DJ Productions will keep the energy up throughout the event\, playing all your favorite tunes. \nGuests will have the opportunity to enjoy a selection of craft and German Oktoberfest-style beer including but not limited to Saint Arnold\, Karbach\, Shiner\, Yuengling\, and local brewery\, Buckstin Brewing Co. $5.00 beer tickets will be available for purchase throughout the festival. \nThe City of Beaumont is excited to announce the newest addition to the annual festival\, Kidtoberfest! This exciting new feature to the event will include family-friendly live entertainment from Sonny the Birdman along with festive face painting\, fun characters\, sweet treats\, and children’s activities from H.E.B.\, Boy Scouts\, Beaumont Children’s Museum\, and the Beaumont Public Library. Local artist\, Ines Alvidres\, will be painting a live masterpiece for patrons to watch and even participate in painting. \nAccessible parking is first come\, first serve at the Dowlen and Gladys parking lot at the park. \nAttendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Outside alcohol is prohibited\, but a selection of German-style Oktoberfest beers will be available for purchase. Tents/canopies\, large umbrellas or cooking equipment will not be permitted.
