This vibrant event will feature live entertainment, cultural performances, and community engagement as the community comes together to honor the history and significance of Juneteenth.
This year’s celebration will include a thrilling lineup of live music, headlined by the legendary The GAP Band, known for their iconic hits like “Party Train” and “You Dropped a Bomb on Me.” Their unforgettable blend of R&B and funk will have the crowd dancing all night long! With a diverse mix of music, dance, and cultural displays, this event is set to be a truly memorable experience.
A variety of food trucks will be on Main Street, serving delicious cuisine to satisfy everyone’s taste buds. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs and picnic blankets to relax between the Julie Rogers Theatre and the Main Library. In addition to lounging in the shade, a cooling tent will be available for patrons to escape the heat. Tents, canopies, and pets will not be permitted. Barbeque pits and other cooking equipment are not allowed in the event grounds unless the individual is an approved and pre-permitted vendor. All vendors and booths must be pre-registered to participate in the event.
Admission is free and open to the public, and we encourage everyone to bring their friends and family!

About The GAP Band: The Gap Band who popularized the unique sound of Funk and Rhythm and Blues from the eighties is making a resurgence as crowds everywhere are excited about hearing the timeless classics “You Dropped A Bomb On Me,” “Burn Rubber,” “Early In The Morning” and so many more.
The Gap Band, founded by Ronnie Wilson in 1967 in Tulsa, Oklahoma was named after the streets in the heart of Tulsa’s historic African American business district, Greenwood, Archer, and Pine coming up with the acronym “GAP” The Gap Band recorded their first album, Magician’s Holiday in 1974 for Shelter Records, owned by fellow Tulsan Leon Russell. The Gap Band members Billy Young on keyboards, Wayman Starks on keyboards and programming all played on most of the records prepare to revive this popular sound in 2025 as they bring everybody aboard the “ Party Train” and have audiences “Yearning” for more as they recreate the sound that audiences all over the world love . Together, their influence will resonate with fans old and new, ensuring that their musical legacy will continue to make you “Shake” for generations to come.
